How Do I get there?

By rail - catch a direct train to Melton Mowbray from Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham.

By Road - Melton Mowbray is easy to reach by road from the A1 to the East and the M1 and A46 to the West. Melton Mowbray lies at the A606/A607 crossroads, 20 miles north-east of Leicester.

Are pets allowed?

No dogs are permitted except for guide dogs. 

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome, under-5’s go free, Beer Tent is 18+ only

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Tickets are final and non-refundable except as outlined in these conditions.

We reserve the right to alter the event programme in respect of the lineup, the times and dates of performances, facilities or locations of the event and the start and finish time and date of the event without liability

Guests are welcome to take photos and shoot videos, and especially to share images and videos with SKA Fest on social media.

Drones, flying toys, and radio-controlled craft are not permitted at Melton SKA Fest.

Audio recording of the acts is not permitted.

Is there a bag or bag size size limit?

Rucksacks and shoulder bags only.

What disability accommodation is available?  E.g. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Guide dogs and service animals are permitted at the event.

What documentation do you require for a carer ticket?

Guests who have the following documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket. However, the guest with the disability and any further members of their party will pay full price.

Please show the relevant paperwork as well as suitable photo ID of the named recipient at the ticket kiosk when you buy or collect your ticket/s. For proof of disability, please send by email any ONE of the following forms of documentation:

Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book

Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of awardIncapacity

Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded

Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of VisualImpairment (CVI)A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card

Credibility’s Access Card

A carer must be over 14 years of age and capable of assisting the guest who has the disability. The carer would be expected to understand the disabled person’s condition and assist them in managing it for the duration of their visit.

If more than one carer’s ticket is required, a letter from a GP or consultant is needed stating the number of carers required.

All documents need to be dated less than 12 months old. 

Approved applications will receive a Carers non drinking ticket.
